100cc Sport Catalyst for Porsche 993 (Gillet Type)
Optimize the performance and sound of your Porsche 993 with our 100cc metallic sport catalyst!
Essential Compatibility: Gillet Type
This catalyst is specifically designed for Porsche 993s equipped with the original Gillet type catalyst . Ensure compatibility by checking your inlet tubes (round) and the angle of your flanges (90°). Bischoff catalysts (more common, oval tubes, 45° flanges) require a different reference.
Power Gain and Improved Sound
Thanks to its optimized flow, this catalyst allows a significant gain of 12 horsepower and a sportier sound , transforming the driving experience of your 993.
Easy and Complete Installation
Our exhausts respect the original interfaces for a direct "plug & play" installation without any modification. For optimal installation (approx. 2 hours, lifting platform recommended), a complete installation kit is included : gaskets, stainless steel screws, stainless steel lock nuts and high temperature copper grease.
Other Options Available
We also offer a standard 400cc catalytic converter version (Ref: SCA 993 2 1 G) and a decatalytic converter version (Ref: SCA 993 2 3 G) for the Gillet type. All these variants are also available for Bischoff type catalytic converters.
Detailed description
Detailed description
This 100cc sports catalyst can be fitted to:
> All 993s with the original Gillet type catalyst
There are two types of catalysts originally fitted to the 993. The Bischoff type is the most common, it has oval inlet tubes and its two inlet flanges are at a 45° angle to the catalyst. The other type, the Gillet, has round inlet tubes and the two inlet flanges are at a 90° angle to the catalyst.
This exhaust is equipped with 100cc metal sports catalysts. It allows you to replace the catalyst, providing better flow and a sportier sound. The power gain is 12hp compared to a stock 993.
We also have in our range for Gillet type catalysts:
> A standard catalyzed version at 400cc - (Reference: SCA 993 2 1 G)
> A decatalytic bypass version - (Reference: SCA 993 2 3 G)
We also have all these variants for the original Bischoff catalysts.
Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, meaning that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part. They can therefore be fitted in place of the original part without any modification.
The catalyst is mounted under the car between the manifolds and the mufflers in the rear fenders. To remove the original catalyst, it is advisable to disconnect the Lambda sensor located in the center of the catalyst, as it is easily accessible. The 3 screws on each side of the inlet flanges are often difficult to remove, so plan to loosen them in advance. Using a lift is essential. Since the recovery of the original Lambda sensor is never guaranteed, plan to replace them or be able to buy a new one if necessary.
The average installation time, including removal of the original exhaust, for this exhaust is 2 hours. Installation time may be faster if the exhaust to be removed is in good condition, but it may be longer if the opposite is the case.
Tightening the nuts should always be done gradually across all the nuts.
To ensure that all our exhausts are fitted in the best possible conditions, we include in the price of this exhaust a fitting kit with gaskets, stainless steel screws, all-stainless steel lock nuts and high-temperature copper grease.
