A Scart exhaust is felt in the chest as much as it's heard. This clip only carries the audible dimension - the physical vibration is missing.

Fits: all Porsche 997 3.6L and 3.8L.
Our best-seller for the 997: more than 700 pairs built since its development in 2006. Compared with the Sport Classic version, the Ultima Récital adds a fixed by-pass that opens under high pressure and routes the gases straight out. Three characters in a single muffler:
- A deep, meaningful note the moment you turn the key
- Very discreet at cruising rpm
- Very playful under acceleration
For a given muffler, the sound also depends on the car: more present on the 3.6L, softer on the 3.8L. The gearbox matters even more: a Tiptronic keeps the engine at lower rpm than a manual, so it runs quieter.
Fitting
- Mounts directly after the catalytic converters; strictly original interfaces (inlets, outlets, dimensions)
- Average fitting time: 2 hours including removal of the original exhaust. A lift is essential (without one, the rear bumper must come off and it takes twice as long)
- No need to remove the rear bumper: only the lower bolts behind the wheels
- The 4 sleeve bolts must be torqued to 46 Nm, progressively across all nuts: a leak here ruins the whole sound
- If the sleeves to the converters and the clamps to the tips are original, it is best to replace them; use the sleeves designed for the 996, which are sturdier (not included in the kit)
- Fitting kit included: stainless bolts, stainless lock nuts, high-temperature copper grease

- Sport Classic version - Reference: SCA 997 3 2
- Valve version - Reference: SCA 997 3 2 VI or VT

Description détaillée
These mufflers fit on:
> 997 3.6L and 3.8L
This exhaust is our best seller for the 997. Since its development in 2006, we have manufactured more than 700 pairs. The "Ultima Récital" has the following 3 characteristics:
> Meaningful and deep sound when turning the key
> Very discreet sound in stabilized mode
> Very playful sound during acceleration
Compared to the SCART Classic version, the Ultima is equipped with a fixed bypass that comes into action during high pressures. This allows the internal baffle to be blocked to guide the gases directly to the outside.
To be precise, the choice of the type of muffler is also made according to the engine cylinder capacity and also the type of gearbox.
All things being equal, a given exhaust will be quieter as the displacement increases. It is therefore more cash with the 3.6L and smoother with the 3.8L.
The gearbox is even more discriminating. The Tiptronic gearbox, apart from the engine management settings which are different compared to a manual gearbox, makes the engine run at lower revs (compared to a manual gearbox).
We also have the following mufflers in our range:
> A classic sport version - (Reference: SCA 997 3 2)
> A sports version with valve - (Reference: SCA 997 3 2 VI or VT)
Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, meaning that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part.
This muffler is mounted directly after the catalysts.
The average installation time, including removal of the original exhaust, for this exhaust is 2.0 hours. Installation time may be faster if the exhaust to be removed is in good condition, but it may be longer if it is not. Removing the rear PC is not necessary, you just need to remove the bottom screws behind the wheels. If the sleeves to the catalytic converters and the clamps to the outlets are original, it is best to change them.
Using a lift is essential. Without one, you have to remove the computer, which will take twice as long.
The 4 screws on the 997 sleeves must be tightened to a torque of 46Nm. An exhaust that is not tightened enough can cause an air leak. But an exhaust that is too tight can also cause an air leak. And a leak at this level ruins the entire sound of the exhaust. The nuts must always be tightened gradually across all the nuts.
To ensure the best possible installation of all our exhausts, we include in the price of this exhaust a stainless steel screw mounting kit, all-stainless steel lock nuts and high-temperature copper grease. The connecting sleeves between the catalysts and the mufflers are not included in our mounting kit. We recommend that you use the sleeves designed for the 996; they are more robust. Apply copper grease to the screw threads and to the sleeves and clamps during installation.
