Fits: Porsche Boxster 986 2.5L, 2.7L and 3.2L.

Several years of prototypes for this car. The difficulty: the 986's catalytic converters have a right angle particularly harmful to gas flow, and at the converter outlets the gases make a 180° turn, slowing them further. Yet it is impossible to generate a high-level sound without gas speed - in the Porsche range, only the 986 and the 997 phase 2 have gas speeds this catastrophic for sound, which is why there is little satisfying on the market. This exhaust, on the other hand, accelerates the gases inside the exhaust.

We build it in 2 versions: a very angry Racing, and a tamer Sport. Note: in the videos shown, the Boxster is fitted with 200-cell converters and the Racing version. Thanks to Alexandre R., whose kindness and patience allowed us to push this complicated car to its full potential.

Fitting

These mufflers fit on:

For several years we have been developing several prototypes for this car.
The main difficulty lies in the fact that the catalysts have a right angle that is particularly detrimental to the fluidity of the gases. And to add to the difficulties, at the outlet of the catalysts, the gases make a 180° turn, which slows them down even more.
It's impossible to generate high-level sound without throttle velocity. Few cars in the Porsche range have this problem. Aside from turbos, which are structurally problematic, only the 986 and 997 Phase 2 have catastrophic throttle velocities for sound. This is why there aren't many satisfactory options on the market.
This exhaust allows acceleration of the gases in the exhaust.
We make it in two versions: a very aggressive Racing version and a more sensible Sport version.
Please note: in the videos shown, the Boxster is equipped with 200cc catalysts and the Racing version muffler.
Thanks to Alexandre R. who, thanks to his kindness and patience, allowed us to reach the limits of the possibilities of this complicated car.

Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, meaning that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part.

This muffler is mounted directly after the catalysts.

The average installation time, including removal of the stock exhaust, for this exhaust is 3.0 hours. Installation time may be faster if the exhaust to be removed is in good condition, but may be longer if it is not.

To ensure the best possible assembly of all our exhausts, we include in the price of this exhaust a mounting kit with stainless steel screws, all-stainless steel lock nuts and high-temperature copper grease. We recommend applying copper grease to the screw threads and to the sleeves and clamps during assembly.
