This muffler has a story. One day, at one of our Porsche specialist garage customers, a man came to us: "Mr Scart, I have an incredible muffler on my 2.7L RS, but I think it is nearly done for. Can you do something for me?" Answer: yes, but we need it in one piece, otherwise no mock-up is possible. A year later, the call: "it's time!" After some research, this muffler turned out to have been developed by Porsche in the early 70s for the mythical Monte Carlo race. It is a great pleasure to remake this part, which sublimates a legendary car - the famous 2.7L RS.

Note: only fits 911s with polyester bumpers. This muffler only exists with 2 outlets.

Fitting

  • Strictly original interfaces (inlets, outlets, dimensions): direct replacement, no modification
  • Mounts under the car, directly on the manifolds; fitting is fairly easy
  • Average fitting time: 1 hour including removal of the original exhaust (longer if the bolts are corroded). A lift is not essential but strongly preferable
  • Tighten all nuts progressively
  • Fitting kit included: gaskets, stainless bolts and nuts, high-temperature copper grease

This muffler has a little story:
One day, while I was at one of my customers' Porsche specialist garages, a man came to see me and said: Mr Scart, I have an incredible muffler on my 2.7L RS, but I think it's almost ruined.
Is there anything you can do for me?
I replied: Yes, but I need it in one piece, otherwise we can't make a model (structure with reference points that allows us to manufacture an exhaust in a defined volume).
Then, no more news and a year later this person contacted me again saying: it's time!
We recovered this muffler and after some research it turned out that it had been developed by Porsche in the early 70s for the legendary Monte Carlo race!
It is a great pleasure for us to remake this part which enhances a legendary car, the famous 2.7L RS.

This muffler mounts under the car directly onto the manifolds. Installation is quite easy.

The average installation time, including removal of the original exhaust, for this exhaust is 1 hour. Installation time may be longer if the screws are corroded. The use of a lift is not essential but is highly preferable.

Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, meaning that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part. They can therefore be mounted in place of the original muffler without any modification.

Tightening the nuts should always be done gradually across all the nuts.

To ensure that all our exhausts are fitted in the best possible conditions, we include in the price of this exhaust a fitting kit with gaskets, stainless steel screws, all stainless steel nuts and high temperature copper grease as well as a pair of straps.
