Fits: Porsche 911 2.7L, 3.0L and 3.2L (Type G).
The pre-muffler is the most technical part of the exhaust line on these cars. Our 5 pre-mufflers correct the original part's flaws - essentially the pressure loss due to flow, which disturbs back-pressure - and let the engine release its full rated power through linear compression of the exhaust gases.
This racing version has a maximally elongated 2-in-1 and no muffler at all. Fitted alone, on top of the extra efficiency, the sound level is 20% above stock; fitted with a Riva-type sport muffler, it lets the muffler develop 100% of the engine's sound capacity. Worth knowing: the smaller the engine, the angrier the sound - a 911 3.0L will sound louder than a 3.2L.
Fitting
- Strictly original interfaces (inlets, outlets, dimensions): direct replacement, no modification
- Mounts between the manifolds and the muffler
- Average fitting time: 1.5 hours including removal. A lift is preferable but not essential
- Removing the original can be tedious and require specific tools (a micro grinder to extract the inlet nuts). For easier removal, take off the left rear wheel and damper
- Tighten all nuts progressively; make sure the muffler is fully in place before final tightening
- Fitting kit included: gaskets, stainless bolts, stainless lock nuts, high-temperature copper grease

Description détaillée
Description détaillée
This pre-muffler fits on:
> 911 2.7L
> 911 3.0L
> 911 3.2L
The pre-muffler is the most technical part of the exhaust line for these cars. Our 5 pre-mufflers correct the defects of the original part, namely essentially the pressure loss due to the flow which disrupts the back pressure. Our exhausts allow the engine to release its nominal power thanks to a more linear compression of the exhaust gases.
This sport version of the pre-muffler allows for better gas flow with a 2 into 1 extended to the maximum. It is called "racing" because it has no muffler. Mounted alone, its sound level allows, in addition to the additional efficiency, to obtain a sound 20% higher than the original. Mounted with a Riva type sport muffler, it allows the muffler to develop 100% of the engine's sound capacity. It is important to know that the smaller the engine, the more angry the sound, so a 911 3.0L will sound louder than a 911 3.2L.
We also have the following pre-mufflers in our range:
> A standard catalyzed 400cc version - (Reference: SCA 911 2 1 CAT)
> A 100cc catalyzed sports version - (Reference: SCA 911 2 2 CAT)
> A sport version - soft sound (Reference: SCA 911 2 1)
> A sports version - Riva-style sports sound - (Reference: SCA 911 2 2 RIVA)
Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, meaning that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part. They can therefore be fitted in place of the original part without any modification.
This pre-muffler is mounted between the collectors and the muffler.
The average installation time, including removal of the original exhaust, for this exhaust is 1.5 hours. Installation time may be faster if the exhaust to be removed is in good condition, but it may be longer if the opposite is true.
The use of a lifting bridge is preferable but not essential.
Removing the stock exhaust can be tedious and requires specific tools, such as a micro grinder to remove the pre-muffler inlet nuts. For easier disassembly, we recommend removing the wheel and the left rear shock absorber.
Tightening the nuts should always be done gradually over all the nuts. Ensure that the muffler is securely in place before tightening it completely.
To ensure that all our exhausts are fitted in the best possible conditions, we include in the price of this exhaust a fitting kit with gaskets, stainless steel screws, all-stainless steel lock nuts and high-temperature copper grease.
