Detailed description
This connecting tube fits on:
> 911 2.7L
> 911 3.0L
> 911 3.2L
This tube connects the right-hand manifold/exchanger to the pre-muffler. Its flexible design absorbs vibrations and heat expansion. This 100% stainless steel version is fitted with a fitting so it can be installed without first removing the left-hand manifold/exchanger. This also allows for stress-free installation.
Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, that is to say that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part. They are therefore mounted in place of the original part without any modification. The depression in its lower part is normal, it is necessary to pass the clutch return spring.
The average installation time, including removal of the stock exhaust, for this exhaust is 1.0 hours. Installation time may be faster if the exhaust to be removed is in good condition, but it may be longer if it is not. This is often the case when the screws are stock. It is not uncommon to have to cut the tube in half to remove it.
The use of a lifting bridge is essential.
Follow the manufacturer's tightening torques. An exhaust that is not tightened enough can cause air leaks. An exhaust that is too tight can also cause air leaks. Always tighten the nuts gradually over all the nuts. You must install the 3 screws on each side, tightening them gradually, then tighten the fitting collar.
To ensure that all our exhausts are fitted in the best possible conditions, we include in the price of this exhaust a fitting kit with gaskets, stainless steel screws, all-stainless steel lock nuts and high-temperature copper grease.
