This version removes the secondary catalytic converters. The car retains the primary catalytic converters, which are controlled by the lambda sensors; these sensors manage the communication with the engine management system. Therefore, there is no impact on the engine management system. Replacing the secondary catalytic converters with straight pipes allows for improved airflow and a better exhaust note. This is essential for achieving a significant sound, as simply replacing the rear muffler is not enough.
Our exhaust systems all have the original interfaces, meaning their inlets, outlets, and dimensions are identical to the original part. They can therefore be installed in place of the original part without any modifications.
These bypass catalysts are mounted between the primary catalysts and the muffler.
The average installation time, including removal of the original exhaust, for this exhaust system is 2 hours. Installation time may be faster if the exhaust being removed is in good condition, but it may be longer otherwise.
The use of a lift is essential, as the secondary catalysts are located under the car at the level of the front seats.
The nuts should always be tightened gradually over all of them.
To ensure that all our exhausts are fitted under the best conditions, we include in the price of this exhaust a fitting kit with clamps, stainless steel screws, all stainless steel lock nuts and high temperature copper grease.
