This X-pipe mounts as a replacement for the original PSE. Replacing a valve exhaust with a valveless X-pipe may sound odd... not really: the resulting sound balance suits this car perfectly, and it is in fact the preferred solution for 991 phase 2 cars without PSE. On these cars, the catalytic converters fragment the sound wave so much that the muffler's role has become minor. A simple and inexpensive solution to noticeably improve the sound.
To go one step further, this X-pipe can be combined with 200-cell sport catalytic converters: soft driving remains possible, and under acceleration the sound is worthy of the greatest naturally aspirated engines. As Jean-Michel put it: "now it's starting to snarl".

This X pipe is fitted as a replacement for the original PSE.
It may seem strange to replace a PSE valve exhaust with an X pipe (without a valve). In fact, not so much because the resulting sound balance is perfectly suited to this car. This solution is also preferred for 991 phase 2 models not equipped with PSE. On these cars, the catalysts are so restrictive in fragmenting the sound wave that the function of the muffler has become minor. Here you have a simple and inexpensive solution to significantly improve the sound of your car.
For those who want to take it a step further, the installation of this X pipe is possible by combining it with 200cc Sport catalysts. You will always have a soft ride possible and when accelerating, the sound result will be worthy of the largest naturally aspirated engines. (101dB when accelerating at 4000T with the original catalysts).
