It took us 8 years and more than sixty prototypes to reach our goal: a meaningful sound with no resonance. The valve exhaust lets you switch from a soft sound to a very sporty one at the press of the switch. With turbo engines the sound builds under load: at a standstill it stays discreet. All accessories are included (electrical and air harnesses).

Fitting

  • Strictly original interfaces (inlets, outlets, dimensions): direct replacement of the original part
  • Mounts directly after the turbos
  • Fitting time: 8 hours including removal (quicker if the old exhaust is in good condition). No need to remove the rear bumper
  • A lift is essential; tighten all nuts progressively once the exhaust is fully in place
  • Fitting kit included: straps, gaskets, stainless bolts, stainless lock nuts, high-temperature copper grease

This exhaust fits on:

The valved exhaust allows you to switch from a smooth sound to a very sporty sound at the flick of a switch. All accessories are included (wiring and air looms). It took us 8 years and more than sixty prototypes to achieve our goal, which is to say a significant sound without resonance. With turbo engines, the sound develops more when the engine is loaded, so when stopped, the sound remains discreet.

We also have the following mufflers in our range:
> A sports version - (Reference: SCA 991T 2 2)
> A switch-controlled valve version - (Reference: SCA 991T 2 2 VI)

Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, meaning that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part.

This exhaust is mounted directly after the turbos.

The installation time for this exhaust, including removal of the original exhaust, is 8.0 hours. Installation time may be faster if the exhaust to be removed is in good condition, but it may be longer if it is not. Removal of the rear PC is not necessary. The use of a lift is essential. The nuts must always be tightened gradually on all the nuts after the exhaust is fully installed.

To ensure the best possible assembly of all our exhausts, we include in the price of this exhaust a mounting kit with straps, gaskets, stainless steel screws, all-stainless steel lock nuts and high-temperature copper grease. We recommend applying copper grease to the screw threads and the joint faces.

I was torn between an exhaust with or without valves, so I called beforehand and opted for the version without valves (assuming, among other things, that they would be open all the time anyway :)). I fitted the exhaust easily and after 500 km I have no regrets, the compromise is just perfect. At a steady speed it's relatively discreet, and under acceleration / deceleration it's... a treat! Experience makes the difference, and when I had a question during installation, one phone call and I had the answer I needed in 2 minutes. A handmade all-stainless-steel jewel case, for a stunning sound result on a 991! Absolutely no relation to the sport exhaust offered as an option by Porsche. We are in another world, that of the racetrack: at low revs, in the rush upward or on the way down through the revs! I kept in mind my 2 Carlsson and Brabus lines on two V8s (AMG) and never thought I would one day find MY NEW SOUND REFERENCE on a Flat Six. Practical too, the very discreet switch on the steering wheel, which lets you get back to a "stock" sound level, just a bit more metallic.
