On the first turbo versions, this pipe ran from the wastegate straight to the muffler; Porsche later found it simpler to route it directly to open air, with a small silencer. Our version being a pipe, it delivers a playful little whistle when the turbo kicks in - which is why it is our favourite.

It mounts directly on the turbo's wastegate.

Fitting

Original interfaces: direct replacement, no modification; fairly easy fitting
Average fitting time: 30 minutes including removal (longer if the bolts are corroded)
A lift is essential: the nuts at the wastegate are not easy to reach
Tighten all nuts progressively
Fitting kit included: gasket, stainless nuts, high-temperature copper grease

This wastegate tube fits on:

> All 930

On early turbo versions, this tube ran from the wastegate directly to the muffler. Then Porsche thought it would be simpler to make it go directly to the air but with a small muffler. Our version being a tube, it allows for a small, playful whistle when the turbo engages. That's why it's our favorite.

This muffler mounts directly onto the turbo wastegate. Installation is quite easy.

The average installation time, including removal of the stock exhaust, for this exhaust is 0.5 hours. Installation time may be longer if the screws are corroded.

The use of a lift is essential because the nuts at the wastegate are not easy to access.

Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, meaning that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part. They can therefore be mounted in place of the original muffler without any modification.

Tightening the nuts should always be done gradually across all the nuts.

To ensure that all our exhausts are fitted in the best possible conditions, we include in the price of this exhaust a fitting kit with a gasket, all-stainless steel nuts and high-temperature copper grease.

What does it sound like?

Depending on the model, you get either a Sport signature (raw but civilized) or Super Sound Type Riva / Ultima (deep, sporty and noble under acceleration, discreet at stabilized speeds, no resonance). For valve models, two worlds in one: discreet with valves closed, roaring with valves open.

It's Christmas come early! I've just installed the SCART Riva silencer on my 1978 911 SC... what character!!! It's not the same car anymore!!
