Detailed description
This muffler fits on:
> 914 2.0L 6 cylinders
Please note that there is also a 914 in 2.0L with a 4-cylinder engine with a different exhaust.
This sport version has a sound that's somewhere between our super sound version and the stock exhaust. In addition to its durability due to the stainless steel, it adds a nice extra sound to the car without ever being too loud.
We also have the following muffler in our range:
> A sport version - super sound - (Reference: SCA 916-6 3 2 +)
Our exhausts all have the original interfaces, meaning that their inlets, outlets and dimensions are consistent with the original part.
This muffler mounts directly on the collectors/exchangers.
The average installation time, including removal of the stock exhaust, for this exhaust is 1.0 hours. Installation time may be faster if the exhaust to be removed is in good condition, but may be longer if it is not.
The use of a lifting bridge is not essential but is largely preferable.
Follow the manufacturer's tightening torques. An exhaust that is not tightened enough can cause air leaks. An exhaust that is too tight can also cause air leaks. Nuts should always be tightened gradually across all nuts.
To ensure the best possible assembly of all our exhausts, we include in the price of this exhaust a mounting kit with gaskets, stainless steel screws, all-stainless steel lock nuts and high-temperature copper grease as well as a pair of straps. We recommend applying copper grease to the screw threads and the joint faces during assembly.
