Porsche 987 phase 2 sport exhausts

With the wise advice of Martin SCART, I ordered and fitted in my garage during the March/May 2020 lockdown an ULTIMA RECITAL on my 2011 Cayman S PDK. The operation requires a little tooling and mechanical skill, a gas torch, some ingenuity to lift the vehicle and secure it, and a good dose of patience with a Dremel to grind down the connecting studs fitted between the catalytic converters and the exhaust line and crimped from the factory... I also renovated my original tailpipe: cleaning, chrome restoration, high-temperature paint on the non-chrome outer parts. In short, work, but without any modification to the vehicle... So returning to original, if desired, will be a simple formality. While removing the original silencer is quite difficult and tedious, this is not the case for fitting the new ULTIMA RECITAL supplied with all the necessary flanges, gaskets, hardware and grease: easy. Once fitted and with all tightening and fixings checked, first of all it looks beautiful under the car. Then, first turn of the key and there, BIG THRILL! This exhaust line is fabulous: discreet but present in everyday use and great as soon as the road allows, with just a slight drone at 2500 rpm under acceleration (so it doesn't last)... For the year I've been enjoying it on my drives, I still have the same pleasure of hearing the harmonics of the flat 6 going from the deep bass of a big displacement to the treble of a race car depending on engine speed and acceleration. And then in town, there are the little rumbles when you lift your foot at low revs, watch out, a beast hidden under the hood... In short, pure happiness! Thank you MR. SCART! Stainless steel valved exhaust installed about 2 years ago on my Cayman S Phase 2 3.4 320 PDK... nothing but happiness!!! As soon as I'm alone on board (but not only), I drive with the flaps open, the music of the flat 6 is well "played" by the SCART, a real acoustic treat! But I really feel like I'm the conductor... In October 2017, I chose the Scart valved silencer with switch on my 2010 Cayman S PDK. In short, only one question really arises: how did I drive without it before? Hello, I own a Boxster S 987 Phase 2 PDK not equipped with the PSE, and I had been thinking for quite a while about having a sport exhaust fitted because the original sound remains hardly present and very muted... After hesitating at length because of a number of factors (price, since it's a substantial investment, poor sound rendering in the videos...) I took the plunge last week with the installation of a valved silencer with the remote controls at GT SPORT (near Lyon)!!! And to be honest, IT'S PURE HAPPINESS!!! I even regret not having done it sooner!!! The sound is just magnificent with the valves open, it gives the car a real sporty side that it didn't have before! I'm sincerely impressed. With the valves closed the sound is a little more present than before but nothing unpleasant, both on the road and at 130/140 on the motorway. For those who are still hesitating, you can take the leap with your eyes closed, you won't regret it. Thanks to SCART for this superb result ;) Read more

Boxster 987 cab 2nd gen 2010 (now a fighter plane) Having fitted the silencer with valve which gave what I call a racing sound (not easy to discribe a sound) I've fitted the headers and 200 cell primary cats ... and ...WHAT A SOUND... still racing, but add to that deep and seductive, and powerful. The gloup gloups increase when decelerating, after driving with it a few times, more nervous ... the acceleration is just crazy, there is clearly more power. THIS IS REALLY SOMETHING REALLY SOMETHING AND BEAUTIFUL. Martin you're just going to have to take a look at my 964.... At the end of the day I'm a happy (Porsche) man.
