Cat by-pass without muffler

Cat by-pass without muffler

520,00 $ ref. : SCA 964 2 3 stock :

This catalyser by-pass fits :

> All the 964

This pipe has neither muffler nor catalyser (it's a by-pass). It can be fitted in replacement of the original exhaust to improve the gas flow and create a much greater sound. There is also a 12hp gain for a standard 964. This is 5hp less than with the 100 cell sport catalyser.  This is due to the extremely free gas flow which decreases the counter pressure.

Our range also includes:
> A standard 400 cell catalysed version  - (Reference : SCA 964 2 1)
> A 100 cell, sport catalysed version - (Reference : SCA 964 2 2)
> A by-pass version with muffler - (Reference : SCA 964 2 3 S)

Our exhausts all fit onto the original interfaces.  By this we mean their entry, their outlet and their size are the same as those of the original part. They can therefore be fitted in replacement of the original part without requiring any modification.

This catalyser fits on the left hand-side to the rear of the vehicle, between the headers and the rear transverse muffler.

On average, the fitting time is 1,5 hours, including the time taken to remove the original exhaust. It will be faster if the exhaust you're removing is in good condition, just as it may take longer if the reverse is true.

A car hoist is preferable but not essential for this job.  If you do not have access to one you will need to remove the rear left wheel. It isn't easy to retrieve the Lambda sensor so be prepared to buy a new one or have one already to hand.

Remember that the bolts must always be tightened progressively across the whole set of bolts....

To ensure that our exhausts are fitted under the best conditions, a mounting kit containing: gaskets, stainless steel bolts, stainless steel lock nuts and high temperature copper grease, is included with your exhaust.

Hello, Unsatisfied with the exhaust on my 964 carrera 4, I initially chose to fit a cup pipe. I liked the sound this combination gave, steady at cruising and a roar at acceleration but not for long. Strong vibrations could be felt both outside and inside the car, which became unbearable, I drive long distances with this car. Having studied the question, it was out of the question to refit an original exhaust, too expensive and I wanted a change. I turned to Martin Scart who, with his natural generosity, explained the why and how several times as I had trouble deciding. I wanted sound but not noise, power but not too much. The choice; a 100 cell catalyser + a reduced sound version of the system cup, to replace all the rest.  It was fitted my matchingnumber in Cannes. The result; an engine that runs better, no void when re-accelerating, improved fluidity, an engine that breathes better and that, you can tell straight away as well as the gain in weight. As for the sound, for me, it's perfect, a nice purring when idling, power on acceleration and a very bearable sound at cruising once you've joined the motorway.  In short, all's well that ends well, thanks to Martin Scart and your director for your skill and your patience.
