Sport cats (200cc) - 2,7L & 3,2L

These 200 cell sport catalysers fit:
> All the 986 2.7L & 3.2L

They have metallic 200 cell sport catalysers, which replace the original cats bringing an improved air flow and a much better sound.   On a 986 stock you should expect an additional 10hp.

Our exhausts all fit onto the original interfaces.  By this we mean their entry, their outlet and their size are the same as those of the original part. They can therefore be fitted in replacement of the original part without requiring any modification.

These catalysers fit under the car between the headers and the pipes connecting the rear muffler.  We recommend that you unplug the Lambda probes before dismantling the cats, then remove them once the cats are no longer fitted to the car. We often need to use a grinder to cut the sleeves at the cat exit. Make sure you have a few small, flat spanners to hand.  You will need these because the flange at the entry into the cats (where they connect to the headers) are level with the rear transversal and are pretty difficult to reach.

On average, it should take about 3  hours to fit them including the time taken to dismount the original exhaust. It will be faster if the exhaust you're removing is in good condition, just as it may take longer if the reverse is true.

You will need a car hoist for the job. It isn't easy to retrieve the Lambda probes so be prepared to buy a new ones or have some already to hand.

Remember that the bolts must always be tightened progressively across the whole set of bolts.....

To ensure that our exhausts are fitted under the best conditions, a mounting kit containing: gaskets, stainless steel bolts, stainless steel lock nuts and high temperature copper grease, is included with your exhaust.
