This muffler fits the :
> 986 2.5L, 2.7L and 3.2 L
Just as the exhaust without valves, this muffler is the result of one of our longest technical developments. It does not have a single part in common with any other muffler.
The great difficulty we come up against when creating a sound for the Porsche Boxster is a very noticeable, low frequency in the sound-waves. It has taken us 8 years to go from our initial prototype to the version that we offer today.
We also offer a SCART version without valves.
It fits under the car in place of the original exhaust.
Perhaps this customer’s comments can explain it better:
"I picked up my car and quite honestly I thought I was dreaming when I accelerated for the first time. It's just that now, I have nothing to envy a GT3! And I really get to make the most of it with the roof down. It is absolutely fabulous. The engine is furious, it makes a husky sound at low revs, then gets more and more acute. I drove for 48 hours non stop. And, added to that, no need to push it up to 6000 rpm, you can stay at a steady 3000 and still get the impression your listening to a super sports car, it's just great. A thousand thanks! It's well worth the price. This is tailor-made stuff, a masterpiece for those who love to hear their engine sing. Hope to see you soon. I'll spread the good word."
If the exhaust is not available in stock, count on a maximum production time of 2 weeks.
Our range also includes the following mufflers :
> A SCART with valves (remote controlled) - (Reference : SCA 986 3 2 VT)
> A SCART Sport - (Reference : SCA 986 3 2)
Our exhausts all fit onto the original interfaces. By this we mean their entry, their outlet and their size are the same as those of the original part.
This muffler fits directly after the catalysers.
On average it takes about 8 hours to fit, including the time it takes to remove the original exhaust.
To ensure that our exhausts are fitted under the best conditions, a mounting kit containing: stainless steel bolts, stainless steel lock nuts and high temperature copper grease is included with your exhaust. We recommend using the copper grease on the bolt threads, the clamps and the sleeves when fitting the exhaust.
