The principle of an exhaust with valves is that you have a choice between a discreet sound and a very sporty sound at the flick of a switch. All the accessories are included (wiring harness and air kit). It has taken 8 years and over sixty prototypes to achieve this result - an outstanding sound with no reverberations. With a turbo engine the sound develops at high-load, which means that the sound remains discreet at low-load.
Our range also includes the following mufflers:

> A version with valves (remote controlled) - (Reference : SCA 991T-2 2 2 VT)
Our exhausts all fit onto the original interfaces. By this we mean their entry, their outlet and their size are the same as those of the original part.
This muffler fits directly after the turbos.
On average it takes about 8 hours to fit, including the time it takes to remove the original exhaust. It will be faster if the exhaust you're removing is in good condition, just as it may take longer if the reverse is true. You should not need to remove the rear bumper, however you will need to use a car hoist. Once the exhaust is correctly positioned, the bolts must be tightened progressively across the entire set of bolts.
To ensure that our exhausts are fitted under the best conditions, a mounting kit containing: straps, gaskets, stainless steel bolts, stainless steel lock nuts and high temperature copper grease, are included in the price of this exhaust. We recommend that you use the copper grease on the thread of the screws and on the gaskets when fitting.

When I bought my cabriolet 991-2 Turbo S, the only downside was the sound. So, following the advice I was given at a show in Geneva, I had a Techart exhaust fitted. I was pleased with it at first, I found it better than the original. But with time and when I heard it along side other exhausts I realised that despite the Techart quality, the sound still wasn't up to it, particularly when the engine was loaded/ overloaded (only active when in sport plus mode). So once again I went in search of a new exhaust, this time more powerful and tailor made. I checked out the European, US and Asian markets (shows, internet, blogs etc...) and as is often the case when you look far and wide, the answer was right under my nose ... right there in front of me at the Porsche meetings ... here in France ... SCART!!! Since the SCART exhaust has been fitted, (with switch, which makes it easy to adapt) I am thrilled. The sound is melodious and more importantly has more volume, particularly when loaded. When I start up the 911 TS and go for a spin with the roof down, I just have a huge grin on my face! Well done Martin Scart and thanks to the whole team for an excellent and professional job. Eric M.
