Mufflers with valve (Straps and on/off switch included)

2 990,00 $ ref. : SCA 964 3 2 VI stock :

This muffler fits :

> All the 964

Our range of mufflers includes a version with valves for the 964. It comes as a complete set, replacing all the original parts from the catalyser onwards, including the tail-pipe. This will enable you to change the sound of your 964 giving you the choice between a discreet sound with the valves closed or a very sporty sound with the valves open. The valve is either activated by a switch, or by remote control  (Reference : SCA 964 3 2 VT).

Our exhausts all fit onto the original interfaces.  By this we mean their entry, their outlet and their size are the same as those of the original part. They can therefore be fitted in replacement of the original part without requiring any modification.

This muffler is fitted just after the catalyser.

On average it takes about 8 hours to fit, including the time it takes to remove the original exhaust. It will be faster if the exhaust you're removing is in good condition, just as it may take longer if the reverse is true.

You will need a car hoist for the job.

To ensure that our exhausts are fitted under the best conditions a mounting kit including: gaskets, stainless steel bolts, stainless steel lock nuts and high temperature copper grease, is included with your exhaust along with the straps. You must retain the olive-shaped gasket and the clamp that are on the catalyser outlet.  We also recommend that you use the copper grease on the bolt threads and on the gaskets when you are fitting the exhaust.

Hello, Unsatisfied with the exhaust on my 964 carrera 4, I initially chose to fit a cup pipe. I liked the sound this combination gave, steady at cruising and a roar at acceleration but not for long. Strong vibrations could be felt both outside and inside the car, which became unbearable, I drive long distances with this car. Having studied the question, it was out of the question to refit an original exhaust, too expensive and I wanted a change. I turned to Martin Scart who, with his natural generosity, explained the why and how several times as I had trouble deciding. I wanted sound but not noise, power but not too much. The choice; a 100 cell catalyser + a reduced sound version of the system cup, to replace all the rest.  It was fitted my matchingnumber in Cannes. The result; an engine that runs better, no void when re-accelerating, improved fluidity, an engine that breathes better and that, you can tell straight away as well as the gain in weight. As for the sound, for me, it's perfect, a nice purring when idling, power on acceleration and a very bearable sound at cruising once you've joined the motorway.  In short, all's well that ends well, thanks to Martin Scart and your director for your skill and your patience.
