In one fell swoop, this exhaust will replace both the rear transverse muffler and the end muffler, which is situated in the rear right wing of the car along with the tail-pipe. This is the best long-term solution as the Cup pipe and the Swan's neck will make too much noise. In any case, if you only fit one of these elements, the day will come when you will need to replace the other and you will have no other option but to replace both. There are 4 versions of the Cup pipe which gives you a choice of sound from sporty to really dynamic with either single or twin tail-pipes. This version, if fitted along with a sport catalyser, will give a sound verging on that of a racing car.

This muffler fits straight onto the catalyser, whether it be the original or our sport version (+17hp).
On average it takes about 2,0 hours to fit, including the time it takes to remove the original exhaust. It will be faster if the exhaust you're removing is in good condition, just as it may take longer if the reverse is true. These timing estimates do not take into account any PC specifications.
You will need a car hoist for the job. The original exhaust is fairly easy to remove.
It is important to respect the maker's tightening torque. If the exhaust fitting is insufficiently or overly tightened you could end up with an air leak. Remember that the bolts must always be tightened progressively across the whole set of bolts....
To ensure that our exhausts are fitted under the best conditions, a mounting kit containing: gaskets, stainless steel bolts, stainless steel lock nuts and high temperature copper grease, as well as the 2 SCART straps, is included with your exhaust. You must however retain the olive-shaped gasket and clamp at the catalyser outlet. You will need to brush these off before repositioning them. We recommend that you use the copper grease on the bolt threads and on the gaskets when fitting.
